in august 2007, john deere completed its acquisition of the ningbo benye tractor & automobile manufacture co. ltd. business, located in ningbo in southern china. the acquisition expanded john deeres product line for chinese farmers and enhances the companys worldwide capacity to produce low horsepower tractors. the new venture is named john deere (ningbo) agricultural machinery co., ltd.
at the time of the acquisition, benye was the largest tractor manufacturer in southern china. it received 95 percent of its revenue from sales within china and exported to 70 countries worldwide. by leveraging benyes product range and manufacturing capacity, john deere has been able to support its growing customer base and expand exports into other asian, african, and commonwealth of independent states markets.
to achieve continual growth, john deere (ningbo) agriculture machinery co. ltd has opened cylinder manufacture business, and is launching projects of different product lines.
john deere (ningbo) agriculture machinery co. ltd. currently has more five hundreds qualify employees to insure high quality products.
