The engineers, consisting of major part of company, have kept an unchallenged position in container engineering industry into the consideration of the technology and experience since each engineer had experience of 8~17 years in Hungmyung Industrial co., ltd. which was the origin of container manufacturing industry in Korea and various abroad experience afterwards. Sunny you, the president of this company, had been working for Japanese general trading company “Sumitomo Corporation” for 5 years from 1976 to 1980 and he got involved in setting up the factories of many Korean container manufacturers such as “Hungmyung Industrial co., ltd.”, “Hyundai precision co.” and “Jindo Corporation” during those periods. After Sumitomo’s job, he had been working for “Hungmyung Industrial co., ltd.” as a general manager and executive director taking care of marketing and development. At that time, he boosted the sales volume of Hungmyung from 2000 TEU to more than 5000 TEU per month within a few years and the average production output accordingly. In the meantime, “Sunny You management team” was the first one who transferred the container manufacturing technology from Korea to foreign country and, during those periods, about 1000 TEU a month had been produced and exported by the joint works between approx. 450 local labors and 6 Korean engineers under the management of Sunny You. From the above reason,“Sunny You management team” was acknowledged as a most successful case of technology transfer from the world container industry even in the early 1990’s.
