 Purchasing Manager 

Report to： National Buyer Team Leader (located in Shanghai)



主要职责简介：

一、 日常供应商联络及供应商管理。

1. 协调解决日常相关商品及送货问题。

2. 负责供应商的检查和考核。

3. 利用评分制或预定标准来衡量供应商的服务。

4. 根据需要采取相应的应急行动或进行后续跟踪。

5. 做好供应商的管理，合作共赢。



二、提供新品及报价。

1. 熟悉及掌握快消市场产品及行情

2. 根据公司需求及项目进展制订采购计划，并监督实施；

3、能把控物品的成本、质量及标准；

4、积极开发供货渠道，并与供应商建立稳定的合作关系，了解并分析市场行情，严格控制货物的价格，降低采购成本；

5、建立和健全供应商、承运商的开发、维护、跟踪及评估体系，供应商资质的认证、关系的协调与维护；



三、 了解及整合公司现有可利用供应商资源，使采购支持服务便利化，多元化。

Overall Purpose of the Role

 To lead a purchasing team in a region and raise the teams capabilities across all elements of the role. Purchase safe products and/or services. Manage the supply chain and costs by negotiating great commercials with robust terms and conditions. 

 To deliver great products and services by developing strong supplier relationships. Implement market leading category strategies which enable our operational colleagues to innovate, win and retain great business. Develop and execute an ‘end to end’ sourcing and selection strategy for a given number of product categories from supplier through to outlet.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures the safe and ethical sourcing of great products and services

• To understand and promote the safe, ethical, environmental and local credentials of category, products and/or services

• Work with stakeholders to improve compliance to purchasing solutions. Identify and address categories where existing policies are unnecessarily inflating above unit costs. Source products and services that enable labour efficiencies

• Understand the principle of category management. Negotiate optimum product costs with suppliers.

• Set supplier business plans with ambition and vision with specific performance targets for suppliers. Develop & implement processes to measure supplier performance and manage areas of under performance.

• To work cross functional within the business to improve business performance and capability. To liaise with supply chain and business sectors to ensure corporate & sector targets are delivered. To implement support DC setup and operation to achieve set KPI

• Indentify future commercial opportunities.

• Support sales to develop financially sound bids and proposals. Develop Compass client exclusive products, services or ranges

• Monitor and communicate market trends to key stakeholders. Market leading product and service innovation that differentiates us in our chosen markets

• Lead, manage and coach buyers to improve the team overall capabilities

• Actively contribute to the wider team bring external experiences to better how compass operates.



QUALIFICATIONS:

● University graduate / MBA a plus 

● Proven ability to lead, & coach a team which increase the capability and performance

● Minimum of 5 years buying experience and proven track record of delivering cost and revenue targets

● Commercial awareness and understanding of supplier P&L and cost models

● Team leadership, coaching to improve performance.

● Ambitious high performer with excess enthusiasm , energy and resilience

● Highly commercial, strong negotiator, exceptional communicator and influencer at all levels

● Strong buying pedigree

● Develops category plans with ambition and vision

● Ability to effectively plan and organize own work.

● Good spreadsheet knowledge.

● Ability to take on a broad spectrum of work under pressure and to deliver in agreed timescales.

● Positive attitude towards colleagues.
